[CSC STEEL] CSC STEEL WILL RISE

As the S&P has boosted last friday by one of the top gainers which is Steel company, steel set to be more demanding again despite KLCI down to the lowest since a year ago. Therefore, I suugest CSC stock price will go up more by next week. Also boosted by CSC Steel posted 4Q net profit of RM37.11 million versus net loss of RM 42.08 million a year ago and technical analysis, MACD has shows the signal to buy, this will give confidence to investor to push the price up.

Good reversal point/support at 10K

Let's wait for Monday for DJIA to confirm it's reversal trend. Make sure it closes above 10K.

Hopefully Bursa follow through as well

i think dow shall close on Monday above 10060 to confirm the reversal and if this happen, that mean dow already see it first bottom and will continue to rebound until 10300 to 10400. Any breakthrough will confirm another up trend for dow.

With the proposal to create jobs by Obama could lead investors gain back their confidence to invest and this would push the Index to safe level which set to rebound. Moreover, Europe countries also set to follow the Dow.

[KNM] WHY NOT BUY KNM?

That fella wants to buy the company at 90c

Now it's trading at 82c cheaper by 8c which is nearly 10%

It's so good in value!

Further more I think the Board is going to reject and the offer will be raise to Rm 1.20 or 1.50

My 2 cents. Anybody got any idea to contribute?

What if the deal not materialised. I remember that fella mentioned abt going private somewhere end of 2008 when the price was around 40 sen.

By Technical Analysis, volume has rose as the price close higher. This will boost the price will go up more to the takeover price. Besides, MACD also shows the signal to buy whereby there is crossover of blue line on pink line.

Can stemlfe set for a rebound soon ? it has reached historical low at 0.53. any advise ?

Technically speaking reaching historical lows carries with it very bearish implications and there is no telling when the stock will form a base to rebound.

If you check the news, Goldman Sachs has exited their position on STEMLFE and that's probably what sparked investors concern about the business's outlook. Not sure about its fundamental numbers though.

If you own the stock, then probably should check back your rationale of owning the stock and see if it still holds water. If it does, then maybe you might wanna consider adding more when the stock starts to show signs of bottoming. If it does not, then maybe you should consider putting your hard earned money somewhere else.

If you don't own the stock, it's probably not the best time to buy.

Nice stock with strong fundamentals. Have been on a good run since Oct 09 and it is showing signs of the intermediate bull run is coming to an end and ready for consolidate its gains and build a stronger base for future gains. Not the best time to add to positions on weakness going forward until a support base is seen.

Price open gapped down to RM1.41 from its previous close of RM1.44, a sign of selling pressure. During the course of the day, prices climbed back to a high of RM1.46 and then sold back down to RM1.40 before settling back to its open of RM1.41, and traced out shooting star candle, which again has bearish implications. Though trading volume is relatively low today so it may just be driven by profit taking. Though technicals are detriorating, like RSI is breaking down and MACD is cutting down, momentum is slowing. So, diagnostically, path of least resistance is definitely down or sideways consolidation, intermidate uptrend since early December 2009 is coming to an end.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but there's no pure online brokers in Malaysia like those in the US and the broker fees are basically the same across all broking house unless your transaction size gets above a threshold where you can negotiate for a better price.

Any broker friends here willing to shed some light or highlight why your brokerage is better than the others? :)

I suppose theres nothing wrong with making predictions based on TA as long as they are supported with well reasoned justifications. The other members can always check on the justifications and compare them against their own readings of the charts, and give comments if they think they need to. Its one way for others especially the newbies to learn. It make the site more fun too.

Tips is a different animal altogether. How do you check their veracity? Better go without them, unless you're a waiter in a restaurant...hehe!

I guess it is human nature to look for the easiest way to do anything with the hope of little effort and big returns!

Though anyone has been trying to make a buck through investing in the markets will soon realise there's no shortcut and at the end of the day, we make our own decisions to buy, sell or hold. Sure, luck plays a factor, occasionally a tip or two from good intention people might help you to make some money. But to be consistently profitable in the markets will require more than just luck and tips.

We all learn by examples (other's experiences) and our own experiences. Sharing of opinions here helps us, who trade, to sharpen our own rationale to trade, and perhaps may also be a timely bearish caution on a certain stock may also serve as a warning to some innocent newbie who just heard a tip/rumour that some stock is going to boom?

I think there is always room for sharing. But I acknowledge your concern for those who are new to investing and trading as well.

So, you are all warned! Do not take anything from this site at surface value! :)

What we try to do here is to eliminate the rumours and work out a trading plan for all our trades. The problem with trading on rumours is that you'll never know what to do when the prices go up or when the prices go down. With that said, technically speaking, the stock remains in a downtrend and there appears no strong indication that the stock would post significant gains at the moment. What's most important when we are doing our own analysis is to determine our own rationale to buy, sell or hold a particular stock. Make decisions based on if your rationale remains valid.

[OTHERS] KLCI Peaking @ 1303 ???

1303 or around there was the previous high years back.
Index shall be hitting there soon. I'm guessing it's a Resistance.

What will happen?

1/ Index will test those levels a few time before Breakout higher
2/ Index test the resistance level; then will go down all the way

We hope to see no 1, a BULL RUN

In trading we hope to see the BETTER side
but market is not so kind either. So have a stoploss somewhere.

yeah 1305 was the last high back in April 2008. That certainly is a "natural" resistance. Regardless if we get there or not, I don't think it is sustainable. As much as I hope for a bull market, I think the whole rally since we hit 800 is very overstretched and nearly done. Let's see...

Yes, I'm agree with that opinion. since there are a lot of pro inside, but still their opinion only for guidance. We are must do our research base on current situation and get both the best of technical and fundamental analysis.

The Support Line is 0.58 to 0.66rm,and Resistance is 0.74 to 0.80rm,so wait till it break through the Supporting line.Today the closing price is 0.65rm.

Lets analyse the chart: The SMA20 is turning up while the stock closed (at 0.65) above SMA50 today. These are good signs of a possible uptrend starting out. But the fact that it also closed above the upper Bollinger band could somehow negate the push by the bulls. If it does climb (or crawl more like) up, it has to take out the resistances at 0.66 and 0.69 before going further up. The MACD looks favourable. The RSI still has some room to go, upwards-wise. The stochastics looks a bit suspect. So, be alert to the possibility of a new uptrend with some downside risks still present. Lets see if this view worth 2 sen or none at all....hehheh!

I like this setup. I'm predicting 80c [subject to volume]. Sell when i breaks support at 61c

What do you think? Based on the chart, the trend line has already breakout the support line which simple moving average line. With Christmas is around the corner, many investors and fund managers are going to holiday. It is expected to going further down in this week due to aggressive selling.

Chart wise short term is kinda weak and bearish, though seems to be building some support over the past month ahead of 0.67. Holiday seasons and going into the end of the quarter/year may see many different funny things that will happen to stocks due to low liquidity?
