[AIRASIA] AIRASIA beter off without the share swap with MAS

Working together with MAS is a good idea but without any tie up by share swaps sounds even better.
AA should be able to be more focus in running their on going profitable business rather than to be
interfere by MAS personnel. AA shares should rise because of the prudent management and good business.

[AIRASIA] Best company in Malaysia

AIRASIA, has everything that an investor needs, sound management, great business plans and most of all customers that love it. I don't know why its value is so low? But it's only going to grow bigger.
I can't afford to buy my own private plane yet, so the next best thing is to own shares in the only airline I would ever invest my money in. GO AIRASIA :)
reply
i agreed with what you have mentioned. investors avoiding Air asia is partly due to no dividends pay out so far, and the company is keep expaning without looking at their business riska.
reply
LOL, his account was created on the same day solely to promote AirAsia :) Not saying that AA is not good, but the volume is already falling, while the price is already very high. Its quarterly results has been announced, and that has been factored into the price.
reply
Nice comments :) But I don't think my parcel of a few hundred shares in AA is going to influence the stock market.
I'm a conservative investor with a long term outlook.
Looking at the top 10 airlines in the worlds share value Vs infrastructure/cost of operations, you will find AA has very low overheads and a low share value US$0.53 against say Singapore airlines US$11.30 Cathy Pac US$2.45 Thai Airway US$1.20.
In taking all this into account plus their growth potential, I hope to increase my return quiet healthily in the coming years.

"DJ Malaysia's AirAsia May Be Taken Private - Report

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

KUALA LUMPUR (Dow Jones)--Malaysian low-cost carrier AirAsia Bhd. (5099.KU) may soon be taken private by its controlling shareholders, a business weekly reported Saturday, quoting unnamed sources.

The major shareholders felt a buyout was the best solution to extract value from AirAsia and chart its progress as it expands its fleet size, The Edge said.

"There has always been scepticism about (the airline's) business model from investors looking at short-term returns. This has frustrated the major shareholders," the weekly quoted a source as saying. The report did not give further details of the possible buyout.

Tune Air Sdn. Bhd., controlled by AirAsia's Chief Executive Tony Fernandes and deputy CEO Kamarudin Meranun, holds a 30.7% stake in the airline, while the Employees Provident Fund, which holds 7.7% of the shares, is another substantial shareholder.

The Edge also quoted other unnamed sources as saying that Fernandes and his associates have lined up potential regional investors to take up stakes in the airline if their buyout is successful. No further details were provided.

I think 1.30 to 1.40 is the area to look for. The chart looks bearish at the moment. If it reach 1.40 the outlook (in my opinion) is that it will start going south.

Noted Dag!
reply

[AIRASIA]

The weekly chart indicates the possiblity of achieving 1.30 this week. However, to say its an uptrend may jump the gun a bit because the monthly chart on the other hand indicates the possiblity of a reversal if the price cannot overcome the band of resistance lurking around that 1.30 level. Some intraday/intraweek weaknesses may present entry opportunities for those who may want to brave the likelihood of troubled waters ahead.

Anybody agree that there is uptrend for AIRASIA (as suggested by the SMA).

should we wait until price cross all SMAs or we can make our entry once SMA 50 cross the SMA 100?

Appreciate any feedback.

tq.

reply

[AIRASIA] Agreed with you Dag.

There is a possibility that AirAsia might reach 1.40-1.50.

However I think the overall outlook is still bearish.

[AIRASIA] NOT ADVICE, JUST SOME OPINIONS

From my reading of the charts (daily, weekly, monthly), theres a good likelihood that AIRASIA would go up to 1.40 - 1.60 in the medium term; and 2.20 - 2.30 in the longer term. In the short term there could be some corrections, but you may only get a lower entry price of 1.10 at best. Its really up to you when to enter, now or later.

If you see my last posting, I said it would go down to 0.80, which would have been my entry price - it never did, it only went down as far as 0.855 before starting to fly to its current level. The hazard of waiting......!

[AIRASIA] Is it high to enter?

Is it consider high to enter today?
oil price down and more low-cost airline in Vietnam, Rm 1.15 is undervalue? It seen that it on up trend. JUMP in, maybe for 1 month!
