[ASIAEP] What's up AsiaEP

Do anyone still hold this asiaep
reply
Nope. Any news?
reply

[ASIAEP] ASIAEP

I do agree it has bottomed out,but recovery may take some time due to its latest weak 4th qtr result. At the same price of 17 cents, I definitely prefer to go for Denko which has also bottomed out but latest result is showing vast improvement,ie 9 mth's EPS=9.3cents.
reply

[ASIAEP]

Given the price actions since 4/4/08, I've a mild suspicion that ASIAEP has bottomed out, that is if current support at 0.17-0.18 continues to hold. Can we anticipate an upside breakout if it can get past 0.20 in the next few days/weeks?

Now, don't get me wrong: I'm no sifu or master, just another trader trying to make sense of the market using TA.

Can buy airasia now?
Yesterday was low. 1.50. should have jump into the boat. But TA tells me that will drop futher. Any opinions?
reply

[ASIAEP] the analysia trend is not so well...recommend by patimas, resorts, mobif, cmsb instead

this stock is seen like at the stagnant already. the trend is seen like to head south.

but, i recommend buying those income secure, heavy transaction volume stock>>> Resorts, Patimas (ICT company with current goverment gearing up to boost this sector+ directors intend to deal the share in open market, all this prove that there is pontential up trend, only that need long term~ 6 mths), also can buy CMSB at ard $2.05( this is sarawak state goverment link company>>politic stock), and the scomal stock also seen like the shareholder is accumulating also...today there is heavy buy in at $0.15 with over 1 million share buyin...this will prove it have the potential to head north to ard $0.185 in near future..hopefully b4 CNY.....

[ASIAEP] Google of Asia: Asia EP

A long time ago I warned readers of this share when they bought a company with no track records for a large sum of money in exchange for a profit guarantee. look what happened to the share price. That is the trouble with a lot of MESDAQ companies: totally opaque and when the the price is good, the owners sell out.
K&N Kenanga covered this counter at the beginning of the year labeling it the Google of Asia on account of its B to B search engine. But where is the promise of huge growth? The Asian B to B king is Alibaba.com. This one is a peanut compared to Alibaba.
When liquidity and volumes are so low, TA does not work so well. Go to Hong Kong red chips for the action.

[ASIAEP] ASIAEP - THE SUPPORT AT RM0.44

Hi again,
I guess if you look long/hard enough you'll find the answer. In my case I went all the way back to ASIAEP's debut on 16 Jan 2004 (not sure if that's true - at least that'w when this chart started), and I found that its opened exactly at RM0.44. Then it stayed around that price until about 9 March 2004, thus forming a formidable support zone such that it aubdued the recent long and steep fall.

Anyway, thank for chungyee's enouraging words. I don't claim to be knowledgeable, but would like to share and test my views so that I can continue to improve. If I do contribute anything that'll be a bonus to me.

As for lextcs comments, my view is simply that GS could be taking their profits when selling, and possibly saw that the price had gone low enough for them to come in again. They might have a positive view of ASIAEP going forward.

[ASIAEP] asiaep

whats goldman sachs doing? buying then selling and now buying again....something is really fishy about this deal....same goes for ytlland, saag etc....think there is some invisible 'big shots' behind golman's corporate a/cs. Otherwise why would they want a tiny winny shareholding in an otherwise unheard off company.

[ASIAEP] Informative

Dear DagTrader,

Thanks, you have been giving very informative and enlightening posting. I appreciate having people like you in this forum. Keep it coming. Thanks again.

reply

[ASIAEP] ASIAEP & MAEMODE

Thanks piranha for the info. Trouble is that TA wise, I would not be able to predict that support level unless theres a preceding pattern which I can recognise. GS coming in is something I would only know after the fact.

Now, for Maemode, first I must thank you for wanting to share my view. Second, my disclaimer per my previous posting stand.

My readings show that the buy signal started to flash two days ago and is still on. Maemode may be on the way up having gone past the first resistance level of RM1.34 so far today. The next target could be RM1.37-1.39. It may well go to RM1.50 if it can beat the next possible heavy resistance at RM1.44 . Then again, I could be totally wrong - ASIAEP so far today is not going the way I'd envisaged last night. Either that or its a good buy opportunity. Its your call really.
reply

[ASIAEP] AsiaEP

DagTrader, the 44sen support happened to be on 24 july when Goldman sachs acquired shares and became substantial shareholders again.
BTW wat's your view on chart of Maemode?
reply

[ASIAEP] ASIAEP

Thank you ynf for your response. Before I try to answer your question, let me point out that theres a glimmer of hope when a morning star appears (not evening as I stated in my previous posting). I hope it is, although it does not look exactly like what the textbook says. With this star, the next candlestick is more likely (hopefully, again) a green one, which should be followed by more green candlesticks towards the next resistance level which could be at RM0.67. If it manages to go beyond this point, then the next targets could be RM0.73 or even RM0.80. It becomes riskier as it goes further. I would not dare do so. as I mentioned before, I go for short term tradings. However, lets see if the MACD will confirm a buy, perhaps by tomorrow.

But I would like to state my disclaimer here that all my pointers above are for the sake of discussions only. I could well be very wrong. I think its well understood on this site that each trader bears his/her own responsibility for all the consequences of the trading decisions he/she makes whether based on these pointers or otherwise. Thanks again.

DagTrader, thanks for your comments on AsiaEP.
will you consider still good time to enter? and what is your target price?
Thanks again.

[ASIAEP] ASIAEP

Hi fellow traders, I'm new in the discussions, but have found Tradesignum a great site - thanks to the creators.

For ASIAEP, if we go on pure TA, we would have cashed out around the week of 19 June when the sell signals started flashing. If we did, then we would have missed the big plunge. We would want to sit out those series of steep drops and may have traded something else until the bottom was found. In my readings, some weak buy signals were emitted on 13, 19, and 24 July where one could have been caught in the downward currents, and frankly I am not too sure how they could have been avoided. Perhaps the eminent crossovers of the SMAs would have cautioned us. Thereafter, there would in most cases, be a technical correction however small. In this case, the buy signals flashed out in the week of 23 July, 26-27 July to be precise. Some profits would have been made by now or about to be made in the next few days if it can overcome the resistance at RM0.56 . So far, theres no sell signals yet. BTW, do I spy an evening star emerging today?

However, I wonder why the bottom was at around RM0.44/0.45? I found no indication of a strong support thereabout right from 2004. Any opinion on that much appreciated.

I am into pure TA for short term tradings. The indicators I'm using for both entry and exit are a combination of Slow Stochastic, RSI, ADX, MACD, and CCI - at least three of them complementing and confirming one another - and some EWT for target prices. Not fixed though - always learning and trying to improve my trading insights using TA. As you can see here its all hindsights and still not a perfect 20/20 though.

[ASIAEP] Asiaep is clearly in downtrend

The trend is our friend. Don't go against it. Discipline, patience and wisdom are traits that we must have to make money in stock market. Good luck , my friends.
reply

[ASIAEP]

asiaEP assume no financial obligation until the loan drawdown by 28/2/2010 or later, therefore Financial Daily wrongly reported asiaEP's gearing as 41%. So far its gearing level is negligible.

asiaEP has little to lose, if profit guarantee not achieved no payment for General Perfect.

[ASIAEP] Shld be a good buy

The technical indicators are good for an entry. Even if all rumours surrounding the purchase, I do believe the its a genuine buy. Say, worst case senario, it will still rebound because it fell so much already. What risk? Nothing much to lose.

ASIAEP PAYS RM23.2M CASH FOR A NON-OPERATING COMPANY

GENERAL PERFECT is currently dormant and its intended principal activities are eCommerce system research and development, eMarket deployment, online eCommerce, kiosk eCommerce, maintenance and service provider of software to operate payment kiosk system and vending machines to include electronic prepaid solutions, provision of mobile airtime, prepaid call vouchers, Internet Access, transportation and others.
The Vendors will provide an aggregate PAT Guarantee of RM25m from date of completion of the transaction till Feb 28, 2010.
EDITOR's NOTES
To many such deals without adequate disclosure.
reply

[ASIAEP] No bank guarantee

A profit is only good if its backed by a bank guarantee. Otherwise the buyer will have to sue the vendors if there is no performance and this takes time and may result in no returns.
The announcement is very vague. It does not say the exact nature of GPs business. besides GP is dormant at the moment and has zero track record.
Also can you explain why the price is under severe pressure when the Q results was very good?
Obviously some big investor has a dim view if the matter. Invest with your brains not yous balls.

[ASIAEP] General Perfect is a good deal for ASIAEP

According to their announcement

2.5 Payment terms of the Cash Consideration

The payment of the Cash Consideration to the Vendors by the Stakeholder is subject to the achievability of GP in meeting the Profit Guarantee.

You are excerting unnecessary fears on investors. This stock has what it takes to be bouncing back as soon as tomorrow.Good luck!

[ASIAEP] ASIAEP down sharply again. Fraud??

I feel that Goldman Sachs must be dumping the stock on news that the company is buying a SHELL for 23 million. I am sure others will agree with me that this deal is highly questionable and looks like fraud to milk the company of its cash. This is the type of action by irresponsible directors which give Bursa Malaysia a bad name.
reply

[ASIAEP] Limit down today on fishy proposal

Asia EP wants to buy 80% of a DORMANT company with a paid up of 1 million for a CASH consideration of 23 million. All they have is a PROFIT GUARANTEE, a USELESS piece of paper. The S.C. must look deeply into this to see that this is not a SCAM and a FRAUDULENT deal. How can you pay 23 mill for a DORMANT company with NOTHING, no track record, no ownership of some proprietary patents. What is this? A SCAM.
