Williams %R: Developed by Larry Williams, this momentum indicator is typically constructed with 14-period of data and its value can range between 0 and -100. Readings between 0 and -20 are overbought whereas readings between -80 and -100 are oversold.

 

Weighted moving average: A moving average that can be used to assign more weight to certain day’s price data.

 

Whipsaw: A whipsaw in trading is referred to as a signal given an indicator is quickly, or in relatively short period, replaced by another signal whereby causing the trader to exit the initial position, often at a loss. Whipsaws are especially prevalent during volatile markets and with sensitive indicators.
