Thanks, Ethan. You're a genius and you're right. I've made some money on this stock on two previous occasions. But don't feel confident of its price sustaining above 1.00 for long. The way its price is being driven up can mean that those manipulating it can just as easily drive it down for whatever their reason. Do you think they will drive it down to last year's low again?

Yes. But the pattern of buying and selling showed price manipulation. I sold mine for a tidy profit having bought months ago at 0.86. Waited this long to sell because of 3 sen (less 25% tax) dividend. Will never buy this stock again purely because I don't like the way its price is manipulated, despite its profitability and relatively good fundamentals. This is a cornered stock.

Fundamentally sound. Stock is trading below its NTA of 1.40 and about one-third of the industry's average PER. But with only 40m shares, it looks rather illiquid and doesn't attract many traders. Volumes have not been encouraging. Anyway I bought some at 0.67 to keep. A bonus/rights issue is a long short. But it would do it well to increase its shares by at least three or four times.

The difference between a speculator aka gambler and an investor. Why would anyone want to buy the shares of a troubled company? Of course there are those who throw good money after bad. 16 sen? 18 sen? There are many penny stocks with good fundamentals that are worth investing in and some are being actively traded now. Examples: leesk, hapseng-wa, digista, malton, mitra, cuscapi, myeg, pantech, perisai, etc

FYI, Chartnexus reads the gap-up white candle signal as bearish.

Chartwise, it is trending down on low volume. It is hugging the lower Bollinger band and may find support at between 0.53 and 0.59 of the 200-MA. RSI and stochastic are oversold but there are telltale signs that they might be improving. Fundamentally good and trading at low PE of 3.52. Needs patience, I think.

Commetted on PADINI above $1.60 by 31-Aug-2012
I've profited from this stock thrice and earned dividends of 2 sen thrice. I bought it at 1.15 which was at the high at the time. My third sale was at 1.40 on Thursday, after having delayed it even when the the first bearish sign appeared on 13.03 with a big black candle. Chartwise, Padini is moving downwards and is likely to remain bearish although some bulls appeared yesterday to support it at 1.40 and 1.41. But volume at 1.56m is low. I may be wrong; but it looks to me that Padini is in for a long fall, before finding support at 1.10 perhaps. Fundamentally it is a good stock with very good earning potentials. I will of course buy it gain once its chart shows an upwards bias. My target price for this stock is 1.80.
